- Izat R called the meeting to order at 4:06 PM.

Advisor Announcements- Dennis: Updated Finance Code online including the Glossary, the General Ledger and General Ledger account. Take a look to see if you have any suggestions for the finance code glossary.
Business Item 1Funding for March in March
- Cynthia Kaufman, the Diector of VIDA presented the item.
- Budget request is for a bus and food for the March in March event.
- Number of students attending may be around ~30 students from De Anza from all other programs on campus; first come, first served.
- DASG would help organize the past March in March events.
- Funding would need to come from Fund 41.
- Lydia moved to approve $3,000 for the March in March event budget request from Fund 41 in Special Allocations.
- Kate seconded the motion, no objections.

DASG Operational Cost Process Review
- Hyon Chu mentions that the salaries of employees that run DASG/ICC are needed to keep
the programs running.
- Operational costs are a given. A process can be established to decide what areas need to be deliberated and what items are required to keep DASG running smoothly.
- Put together a presentation for the finance committee regarding the budget deliberation process. Including expenses for operations. Senate could vote and approve it.

- Lisa Kirk suggets a limit on the purchases for clothing items per student.
- Lisa K and Hyon Chu have discussion over whether stipulations should be present for speaker purchases (including travel).
- Hyon Chu mentions that increasing the amount would allow for more flexibility.
- Lisa mentions that having a spending limit on clothing items per student would help to avoid flags from administrators.

- All requestors will have an opportunity to speak on their funding requests at this meeting. Each program area, not individual person, will be allowed up to two (2) minutes maximum to speak on their funding request. - Wednesday, February 14, 2024

DASG Senate approved Budget presented to Board of Trustees for their approval. - Monday, July 1, 2024
New FHDA Fiscal Year Begins; Funds Become Available
* The date of the Second (2nd) Vote depends on when the First (1st) Vote takes place. If the deliberation is not complete on the 7th it will continue to the 14th and the Second (2nd) Vote will be pushed to the 21st. Also, the DASG Budget requires a confirming vote of the same budget without changes between the votes. If any changes take place the day of the Second (2nd) Vote it goes back to being a First (1st) Vote and will require a new date for a confirming Second (2nd) Vote.
