Executive Officers


DASG Executive Officers are student leaders who help guide the work of the DASG Senate and its committees. As voting members of the Senate, they play a key role in setting goals, establishing priorities, and developing agendas for their respective committees that support student needs and initiatives across campus.

Students are encouraged to connect with Executive Officers to learn more about DASG, ask questions about committee projects, and explore opportunities to get involved through committee internships and leadership experiences.

As President, Allissa is passionate about fostering an approachable and collaborative student government where students feel connected to the decisions that shape their college experience. She values curiosity, open-mindedness, and sincere intention to better understand and advocate for the De Anza community. Outside of DASG, Allissa loves puzzles of all kinds, from logic games to escape rooms, social sciences & research, fashion & design, and gaming. Tran is a De Anza College student studying accounting. As a DASG student leader, Tran serves as the Chair of Administration and hopes to help students feel heard and make a positive impact on the De Anza community. Outside of school, Tran enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new places, and making memories with the people around them. Tran hopes to do their best in college, leave a positive impact on others, and eventually transfer to a good four-year university.

Arin is a second-year student at De Anza College majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in finance. He is originally from San Francisco, where it is always foggy, so he enjoys getting out in the sun whenever he can by playing basketball or hiking with friends and family. Arin loves meeting new people and learning about different cultures and perspectives, which he finds endlessly rewarding through his campus involvement.

Galilea is a second-year Business Administration major looking to transfer to a school in SoCal. Through her role, she hopes to learn more about the student body in order to represent them well, boost engagement, and get more people involved with DASG. She'd love to work with you all at Student Rights & Equity events like the Resource Fair, Town Hall, or casual committee meetings. In her free time, she enjoys going out to eat with friends, reading, and taking late-night drives (when gas prices are lower).

Major: Business Administration

Ashwika Agarwal is a second-year Economics student at De Anza College and serves as the Environmental Sustainability Chair for the De Anza Associated Student Government. Through her role, she hopes to make sustainability more practical on campus and support initiatives that students can genuinely benefit from. She is interested in economics, business, entrepreneurship, and learning about the world around her. Outside of student government, she enjoys finding cute cafés and new photo spots, walking by the beach, catching sunsets, and trying new things with friends and family.

About Lena

Major: Business Administration

Cung is De Anza College’s elected student representation on the Board of Trustees for the 2026-2027 academic year. She is actively involved in multiple student government committees, allowing her to gain a well rounded understanding of campus issues and more effectively represent the diverse needs of students. To strengthen her understanding of student priorities, Cung plans to increase engagement around Board policies and create opportunities for students to share their experiences, concerns, and priorities. Throughout her term, Cung aims to build a strong foundation for future trustees, promote events that encourage student involvement at both the local/congressional levels, and expand opportunities to support student’s professional, academic, and personal growth.

   

 

Internal Elected Senators


Internal Elected Senators serve as voting members of the DASG Senate and play an important role in advancing the work of their committees. As student leaders, they help develop and implement committee projects, provide guidance to interns, and collaborate with fellow senators to address issues that impact the student community.

Students are encouraged to connect with senators to learn more about committee initiatives, share ideas, and explore opportunities for involvement. Senators can be contacted directly through their listed email addresses.

Internal Elected Senators are selected through the annual DASG election cycle or appointed through mid-year elections when vacancies occur.

Shreya is a second-year student majoring in Biology and Political Science at De Anza College. As a Senator, she is dedicated to utilizing her passion for civic engagement to serve the De Anza student body. Additionally, she hopes to encourage more students to make their voices heard by facilitating student participation in De Anza Student Government Executive Elections. Outside of the DASG, her hobbies include reading, learning about infectious diseases, student advocacy, debate, piano, and photography.

About Arman

Major: Computer Science 

Arman is a second-year computer science major at De Anza College, with plans to transfer to UC Berkeley to study Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences. His interest in engineering began with competitive robotics in high school and grew when he cofounded and mentored a VEX robotics team at his former middle school. With a strong passion for building and problem-solving, Arman also has a deep interest in finance and statistics, which led him to cofound and manage finances for Vanta Mobile Detailing and to develop a 1,700+ member stock trading community. As a Budget Analyst, Arman strives to build transparent finances and allocate budgets effectively by dissecting each funding request to its root, ensuring every dollar accurately represents and elevates the De Anza student body.

As a road cyclist, he was especially interested in the Bike Program Coordinator position. Being an international student himself, he understands how much access to free transportation can mean to someone. Through his role, he hopes to keep the program running efficiently and ensure that it continues providing bikes to students who need them. Program Liaisons

Program Liaison is an official voting representative from a designated equity-based or campus program who serves within the DASG Senate. Program Liaisons provide an additional voice and vote on behalf of their Programs and representative groups to ensure that issues relating to advocacy, diversity, and equity are addressed in the DASG Senate. This includes increasing the connectedness of disproportionately impacted students.

He is especially interested in making sure veteran students have a voice in campus decisions and a strong support system at De Anza.

Megumi is the HEFAS liaison and is focused on advocating and supporting the marginalized communities at De Anza. As a mixed Peruvian-Okinawan student and first-generation student, Megumi has been a Peruvian folkloric dancer for 8 years, participating in both competitions and public performances, understanding what its like to build a team and lead.

Nelson is a first-generation student who works with the Men of Color Community on campus. Nelson is passionate about connecting Men of Color on campus with campus resources and helping them find a sense of community at De Anza. He also doesn’t mind answering questions, even if they're not about the Men of Color community, since he’s not only a Men of Color student but also part of Mesa, FYE, Rising Scholars, and DSPS. DASG Advisors


De Anza Student Government Advisors are full-time college staff dedicated to supporting the Senate's success. As non-voting members, they provide training, guidance, institutional knowledge, and assist student leaders in navigating governance processes. Advisors help ensure that meetings and decisions comply with state regulations and district policies while fostering an effective and productive environment for student leadership and advocacy.
