Academic Reading and Writing


Course Description

This course integrates the reading and writing skills necessary for success in English reading and writing. Course emphasis will include evaluation, analysis, synthesis, and critical inquiry of assigned readings and essays. Concurrent immersion in this course, specific to the reading and writing process, provides foundational strategies and skills in a transfer-level curriculum.

LART 250.01Q: This is a 3-unit corequisite course to ENGL 1000. Students enrolling in this section must also enroll in ENGL 1A.01Q (CRN 39398). Fully ONLINE. This is an online class that does not have scheduled meetings. Students can log in anytime to do the required weekly course work. Students must have access to a computer, the internet and an individual email address. We recommend a laptop or desktop computer to successfully complete the course; a tablet or phone may not be adequate for all assignments and tests.
