This course explores elements of discrete mathematics with applications to computer science. Topics include methods of proof, mathematical induction, logic, sets, relations, graphs, combinatorics, and Boolean algebra.

MATH-022.-50Z: Fully ONLINE - This is an online class that meets on campus for four exams. Exam 1 on April 24, Exam 2 on May 15, Exam 3 on June 5, and the Final Exam on June 24. all exams will take place from 11am-12:30pm. Students can log in anytime to do the required weekly course work. Students must have access to a computer, the internet and an individual email address. We recommend a laptop or desktop computer to successfully complete the course; a tablet or phone may not be adequate for all assignments and tests. Most De Anza classes will use the Canvas course management system.
