Welcome Day is a fun opportunity to speak with instructors, meet fellow students and get answers to your questions about financial aid, registration, student services and more.

You can also:

  • Take a campus tour and locate your classrooms
  • Get your student ID and VTA SmartPass (by appointment only — see below)
  • Find out more about your Village — see below
  • Learn about academic majors, student clubs, athletics and housing
  • Enjoy lunch while participating in activities in the Village Centers
  • Attend informational sessions for both students and parents and families

  • Student ID and VTA SmartPass – by appointment only. Please contact the Office of College Life by phone or email before September 17 to make an appointment if you would like to get an ID card or SmartPass on Welcome Day:

Discover Your Village!

Welcome Day is a perfect opportunity to learn more about your Village. Each of the six Villages at De Anza is a community of students, faculty and staff members who share a common interest in related majors or academic subjects.

  • In the coming year, your Village will host events and fun activities keyed to your major and related subjects
  • Your Village is also a central place to find relevant information and services — including degree and transfer maps, which can help you save time and make steady progress toward your goals
